Training Record Management

The FireManager does much more than just track training. It provides a complete system for managing your training program, from planning and delivery to post-training analysis.

Planning

The process usually begins when you create a new training event. The event record contains all of the information you will need to schedule your sessions, including the location,

general topic, target audience, multiple subjects and authorized instructors. You can even specify which certificates can use this training toward renewal and which practical tasks will be completed during the training. You can drag and drop documents, such as a lesson plan or a Power Point presentation into the event record, making them accessible to the instructors.

Once the event has been created, you are ready to build the training schedule.

Our unique user interface allows you to drag and drop groups of units who regularly train together onto the calendar. Using this method, a large fire department can completely schedule many sessions of a class in just a few minutes.

Delivery

A number of very useful tools are available to you during the time that the training is being delivered. Before each session, a sign-in sheet can be printed by simply right-clicking on a scheduled session on the training calendar. The sign-in sheet will be pre-populated with the names of students expected to be at that session according to the training schedule and daily staffing rosters. Notice that the students, instructors and even the form itself are bar coded for fast and easy data entry after the class has been delivered.

Perhaps the most useful report during the delivery phase is the Training Attendance Projection Report. This report allows you to proactively project attendance for your event. It will tell you in advance which members of your target audience will miss your training, based on the training schedule, existing daily rosters and the leave schedule. This tool allows you to make adjustments to your schedule to maximize attendance.

Analysis

The FireManager provides several standard reports that allow you to analyze your training history. Some of these reports are listed below.
