Preplan Management
Nothing is more valuable to an incident commander than a good, accessible preplan of the incident location. The FireManager allows you to maintain this information in the Life Safety module and then access it in the field using mobile computers.
Two components comprise a preplan: textual information that you maintain in Occupancy Profile and a collection of one or more digital images, such as photographs, floor plans, site plans or even architectual drawings. These images are also placed in the Occupancy Profile on the Images tab.
Preplans are accessed using Preplan Viewer, a touch screen-enabled software program that allows you to locate a building by entering just the address numerals or part of the business name.

Once the occupancy has been located, the application will display the preplan fact sheet and all of the images that are associated with it.
Preplans are managed in much the same way as fire inspections. Regular preplan updates can be scheduled and assigned to crews or individuals. Outstanding preplans and buldings that have not been preplanned recently can easily be identified through available reports.
Preplan Viewer can also be used to serve up maps or to simply perform street lookups. |
