Report Review

The FireManager provides complete report review functionality for retrospective quality assurance. Any number of supervisors or peers can be set up to receive reports in their review queue based on a wide selection of criteria, including incident type, report type, shift, battalion, report author and many more.

Reviewing reports is easy. If a problem is noted, simply click into the desired field. A dialog box will pop up allowing the reviewer to either type a note or select from a list of common problems associated with that specific data point. Reviewers can even customize this list of problems, virtually eliminating any free text typing.

When a field has been marked with an error, it turns red and an email is sent to the report author automatically advising of the rejected report.

Correcting the errors and resubmitting the report is easy. If a report has been rejected, it will be placed on the author's "to do" list, which is visible whenever the incident reporting module is launched. When the report is opened, the fields and tabs that require attention are highlighted in red. When you click into the field, a complete description of the problem is displayed.

The report author has the option of correcting the problem in each red field or annotating the field with an explanation if there is a reason for not changing it. The report is then resubmitted to the reviewer for final approval.

Interesting calls can be forwarded to other reviewers for further review, if desired. This is useful if, for example, your agency's physician advisor wants to review all stroke patients or cardiac arrests.

A complete history of all problems and modifications is maintained and can be retrieved at any time.
